Updated June 26, 2024
Current active employees of state executive branch departments (excludes HHSC, Judiciary, University of Hawaii, Public Charter Schools and DOE) are already beginning to fill out their eligibility forms in the state’s HIP system. We’ve received a number of questions from excluded employees with the state executive branch. Here’s what you need to know:
Am I eligible for THP?
If you were an excluded employee who worked during the pandemic (from March 4, 2020 to March 24, 2022) in the state executive branch, you’re entitled to temporary hazard pay under our settlement with Gov. Green.
Will I receive the form to attest to my days worked during the pandemic?
Yes, you should be given access to the online form through the HIP system. You should confirm this with your department designee.
What if I have questions about the form or the process?
This is the state’s form, not HGEA’s. If you have any questions regarding eligibility and the payout process, contact your department designee.
When is the form due?
The deadline to complete and submit the form is July 31.
