Dear Subscriber,
Negotiations with the employer for the next contract starting July 1 is currently at an impasse. However, your negotiation team is working hard to come to an agreement that improves the contract terms and secures well-deserved raises.
You may hear about contract ratifications for other bargaining units over the next week. Please keep in mind that your unit negotiates with county government and operates on a different deadline than those whose funding needs to be approved by the Legislature before the end of the legislative session.
This means your negotiation team has more time to work with the employer to move past some of the sticking points in the latest proposal.
