A Union-Busting Executive Order

We will fight back.

A union-busting executive order signed by President Donald Trump threatens to strip millions of federal workers of their right to organize. Hawaii State AFL-CIO President Randy Perreira, who also serves as HGEA’s executive director, said we’re fighting back.

“If a president can wipe away those rights with a single signature, every worker in this country should be alarmed,” Perreira said. “This executive order is not just an attack on federal employees. It is a warning to every union member, every family that depends on public services.” The right to organize and speak up is not up for negotiation. We will protect it.
