Mayor Rick Blangiardi handily won re-election as mayor of Honolulu City & County. Meanwhile on the Big Island, Dr. Kimo Alameda will face off against Mayor Mitch Roth in November.
Also on the Big Island, Sue Lee Loy, a long-time councilwoman, won the House District 2 seat outright by a large margin.
Unit 13 Member Ikaika Olds also won the House District 23 seat outright.
A long-time legislator and friend of labor, Scott Nishimoto, won the Honolulu City Council District V seat by a wide margin.
