It’s been 22 years since the passing of U.S. Rep. Patsy Mink, a pioneer for women in politics. As a champion for the federal Title IX law that levelled the playing field for women, Mink’s career was an inspiration for so many Hawaii women. With the potential of the nation electing its first woman president in Vice President Kamala Harris, we wanted to sit down with U.S. Representative, Jill Tokuda, of Hawaii’s second congressional district to get her thoughts.
