Also Inside: Watch HGEA on Island Life Live!

Welcome back to The Negotiation Table!
We’re more than 100 days into the Trump-Musk administration and its anti-worker agenda. We’ve seen the cutting of vital public services, including the gutting of the Social Security Administration and threats to end the Department of Education. Thousands of federal workers have been fired and collective bargaining rights undermined. Ultra-wealthy billionaires are causing all this harm to secure massive tax cuts for themselves on the backs of working people.
With us this episode we have U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz to discuss what is happening on the federal level and how it affects Hawaii.

After 46 years of service, former Water Safety Lieutenant and Unit 15 member, Bill Ingram, retired proudly.
Born to be a lifeguard, he began conducting rescues at just 11 years old. He was eventually recruited and stayed with ocean safety for more than four decades. Looking back on his long career, Ingram says his motivation was quite simple: “All I did was just try to do my job the best way I could and make sure people didn’t get in trouble.”
Mahalo for your years of service, Bill.
