With each passing day, the Trump administration is taking increasingly drastic actions to slash spending and programs that impact thousands of our members in federally funded positions.
While we have some reports of direct impacts, we are still very much learning alongside you under this chaotic administration. But what we do know is billionaires and anti-union extremists are willing to go to great lengths to end vital government services, privatize jobs and gut Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security all to enrich themselves and their friends.
We’re working closely with our international union and elected officials here at home to stay on top of this. As we get more news, we’ll share it. Stay #HGEAStrong!

Wear Red for Ed
Tuesday, March 4
Stand in solidarity with the University of Hawaii Professional Assembly and supporters of public education on their national day of action!
Wear red to stand up for over 50 million children and young adults who would be negatively affected by proposed budget cuts to the U.S. Department of Education. Don’t forget to snap a pic and share why you’re #RedforEd on your socials.
