As we navigate through challenges to government and public employees, strong leadership is more important than ever. This is your opportunity to step up and shape the future of our union.
Election for the 2025-2027 term of office for the HGEA president and board of directors will be held this spring. In addition to electing the president, active members will elect directors for Units 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, Hawaii-at-large, Kauai-at-large, Maui-at-large, and Oahu-at-large.
The president and directors will serve from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. Positions are voluntary and unpaid.
Active members interested in running will be able to pick up a candidate packet from HGEA offices or at hgea.org/candidate starting today. Completed packets must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on March 7.
